I haven’t updated this family blog in far too long. I see only two posts ago was our Christmas 2009 recap… it’s now 2011. I have no idea if any family members actually read this thing, but if you’re out there, sorry!
Here is what we have been up to in 2010:
- I started homebrewing January 2010 and I won my first homebrew competition with my Belgian Saison recipe in September. I moved on to all-grain brewing and have started brewing big 10 gallon batches with buddies. In 2010 I brewed 15 batches of beer.
- Jacob turned 2 and became cuter and smarter and he is now in a big boy bed. He is slowly approaching being potty trained.
- Jennifer is a rock star saleswoman and was the #1 salesperson in her role.
- Outings, Thanksgiving, Christmas… you can check out the photos using the gallery link at the top.
That’s about it. We are in full planning mode for Jacob’s 3rd birthday (seriously, 3?!) and working on some plans for vacation. Jacob’s first airplane trip to TX was a success so we’re no longer afraid of dealing with a crazy child on a plane. That was our biggest concern trying to take a long vacation somewhere. The bummer is paying for three seats now on a flight, ouch!
I’ll try to update this more often. I’m homebrewing a bunch so I can share more recipes and results.
