Jacob Is Finding His Voice

He’s adorable when you get him going.  He’s been coo’ing for a while, but he’s recently learned how to change the pitch of his voice during one coo.  I was talking to him for a few minutes before I grabbed the camera so this is the tail end of our conversation. I edited out my baby talking to spare your ears.

    Matt and Jennifer,

You’ll be so happy that you did this blog about Jacob and your family–I wish I had. The time goes by so fast–and even faster when you have a second baby! This is so sweetly written from your point of view, Matt.

On the staying home front–I had a very hard time going back to work full time when Hayden was 3 months old….I really got depressed because of it. I finally scaled my work schedule down to 3 days a week ( 1 day working from home) when he was 10 months old, and that schedule has remained the same, since. And, I’m glad to be able to go into work the days that I work in the office, as it offers a nice break and a time for me to reconnect with my “adult” self. So, if that’s possible for you guys to swing, it’s a nice work-family balance.

I swear I heard Jacob say ‘Grandpa’!
