I went out with Grant “Big Tuna” and Todd “Twix” this morning. We got on the water a little after 7:00am and headed for New York Creek Cove. We just learned the name of this cove and heard it produces fairly large bass. I promised myself I would dedicate the morning to jig fishing so I can become more comfortable with the #1 staple in bass fishing. I started throwing in 10-20ft of water and got the fish in the picture after about 1/2 hour. It was the only fish of the morning, but it put up a decent fight and jumped for us twice. The water was only 57 degrees so the bass will be very lethargic until it hits the mid 60′s.
