Jacob Log 4-28-08: Glorious Sleep!
Matt | April 28, 2008I hope I don’t jinx it, but Jennifer and I have found a routine that gives us a solid 2-3 hours between feedings. Jacob is taking about 1.5-2oz each feeding and it usually induces a “milk coma” where he just passes out after eating. We have setup a sleep positioner in between us in bed so Jacob can hear/smell his parents. He goes into his milk coma and we sleep for hours. I’ve never felt so amazing in my life!
On another note, Jacob’s cord stump fell off today! He is such a big boy now with his perfect belly button.
Papa Mallory went out and got Mario Kart Wii yesterday to pass the time during the day. Our friends Todd and Michelle have their little one Adam so Matt and Todd can play each other online.

Meet Jacob Douglass Mallory, born April 19, 2008 at 9:06pm. He weighed 6lbs 3oz and was 18.5in long at birth. Jacob is home with his family after a couple days in the hospital. Jacob passed all his tests and got the OK to go home this morning. He was so adorable in his car seat! Jennifer rode in the back seat with him, of course. He is so precious!

Jennifer had a doctor appointment yesterday and found out she is 50% effaced and 1cm dilated. This doesn’t tell us anything other than the fact things are happening and we’re getting closer to meeting him. She could go into labor tomorrow or she could go into labor in two weeks, we just don’t know. Tomorrow she will be 38 weeks along. We’re getting excited!
